RYAN SCHNEIDER works at Morgan Lehman Gallery NYC

by Guy Yanai | 08.07.13

I first met Ryan Schneider through a friend. He had a show here in Tel Aviv, and I was instantly drawn to these honest and refreshing oil paintings. Here’s a guy that is just painting what he wants to paint; women, fruit, trees, houses, etc… There was was something that resonated deeply with Schneider’s paintings.  A very complex consciousness of sincere experiences.

They are not nostalgic, they are not against anything, they are simple in the most devious way, and really affirm the sensuality of paint and life.

Bathers, opens July 10 with 12 other artists.
